"Keeping House" is a fascinating glimpse of women's lives in frontier western Pennsylvania during the period from 1790-1850. Included are women's experiences on the road west to western Pennsylvania, wilderness and town household management, stores and good, food and drink (including some recipes), and many other subjects. A wonderful book for anyone interested in the eastern frontier!

Condition: Good condition. Cover shows some light wear, primarily to corners and edges. The front cover has a few light scratches. Pages appear to be in very nice condition.
